Stinking Feet.....

Do you suffer from a raging case of stinky feet? Do you know of anyone who does? Do people wince when you walk pass them? Are you bold enough to take off your shoes in public? Here are some suggestions that could help tame this offensive foot odor.

1. Wash your feet: It sound obvious but a quick rub with soap and water isn't enough. The aim is to get rid of any bacteria and dead skin cells that bacteria likes to feed on. So when you wash your feet, exfoliate the entire surface of your foot with a washcloth, brush or any abrasive mechanism and be sure to use an antibacterial soap...... Don't forget to wash in between your toes.
2. Dry your feet: Moisture whether it be sweat or water is what creates a fertile ground for bacteria so take the time to dry your feet thoroughly and do not neglect the space between your toes.
  3. Use a hand sanitizer: As weird as this sounds, a good scented or unscented hand sanitizer can kill the germs on your feet and inhibit bacterial growth.
4. Use an antiperspirant: The same antiperspirant you  use for your underarm can also be used for your feet .Make sure its antiperspirant and not deodorant as the latter will cover up the smell. Antiperspirants reacts with the sweat to form gel plugs that block off your sweat pores..... Do I see a shocked look on your face?...........yea this works....
5. Vinegar& Alcohol: Keep a mixture of vinegar and alcohol and dribble this daily over and in-between your toes and the entire irritated area using a medicine dropper . These are skin friendly products and so do not have any adverse effect on your skin. The vinegar kills the fungus and  the alcohol inhibits the bacteria.it also helps gets rid of toe fungus on contact.
6. Wear sandals or open toed shoes: This is so your feet stay cool and you do not produce as much sweat . Even when you do, it evaporates as a result of air circulation. If you can't wear sandals go for leather or canvas shoes that allow your feet to breathe. By all means avoid plastic and rubber shoes.
7. Rub Powder on your feet : The talcum powder can be applied on your feet and between the toes, its an astringent so it will dry out your feet. Baking soda can also be used, this provides an alkaline environment that is not bacteria friendly. Corn starch is also a good option as this helps absorb sweat from your feet, leaving it dry.
hmm.... for those with smelly feet, i hope you find this information very helpful.....
Have a great day!
