Douching.......

The word douche is French for 'wash' or 'soak'. It is a method to wash out the vagina ,usually with a mixture of vinegar and water. It comes in a bottle or bag and is sprayed through a tube upwards into the vagina.
Some women say douching helps them feel clean and fresh........True! BUT  I must say that the risk of douching far outweighs the benefits....

Here are just a few problems linking douching:

1. Virginal Infections (bacterial vaginosis): Douching affects the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina. These changes makes the environment more favorable for the growth of bacteria that causes infection.

2. Pelvic Inflammation (PID): Women who douch have a 73% higher risk of getting a PID. PID is an infection of the uterus, fallopian tube and/or ovaries.

3. Pregnancy Complication: Women who douche more than once a week ,have more difficulty getting pregnant than those who don't. It also increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy...a case where the embryo implants outside the foetus.

4. Cervical Cancer: Douching more than once a week has been linked to an increased chance of developing cervical cancer.

Dear Ladies avoid douching, wash your vagina with warm water and mild soap. This combination is just enough to keep it clean. Maintain good personal hygiene by keeping all undergarments clean. Learn to put out your undergarment for sun drying...... Allowing your undergarment dry under the sun is very essential as the sun's heat is a natural sterilizer.

I hope this post makes you smile......

  2. I'm not sure about the part where you talked about washing the vagina with warm water and mild soap. I think water alone is OK in order to maintain the natural pH of the vagina. nice job. keep it up!!!

    1. Yes dear, water is just perfect ! But most people don't feel comfortable using just water so I advise that If you must use a soap it should be mild.....Thank you for the compliment! Keep up reading my blog!
