Learning the Secret Of Saving.....
I recall my mum consistently refusing to accept her debit card from the bank attendant.. I couldn't help laughing and i was keen to know her reason.... '' This card will empty my account before i know it''... these were her words!...
Was she right about this assumption?, for me it will always be a ''NO'' because i have a debit card and it has not in any way hindered my ability to save.
Learning to save is a skill that should be cultivated in every kid. As the child advances in age, it sticks on and grows into a habit that would help them in the future.
Quite a number of adults today find it difficult to save. Some end up purchasing items they want rather than what they need.
Every Individual is either a good saver or spender... we've seen kids brought up with a silver spoon and a huge account for an inheritance but yet have squandered the wealth in a wink and kids who grew up in abject poverty and have still en massed great wealth for themselves.
Now the question is: Are you a compulsive shopaholic or an extreme saver?
It's terrible been at the extremes of these two groups...moderation is key!

- Learn to distinguish between your needs and wants.
- Be a member of a savers group around your neighborhood or office.
- Reduce the use of your debit or credit cards.
and if you save up so hard that you never indulge in a little luxury..you might need to loosen up.....
Teach your kids the secrets of saving... Make them learn the act!
